Wilhelm Uhlig, born in 1930 in Guttenberg, was a German sculptor.

From 1951 to 1959, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg under Hans Wimmer. In 1972, Uhlig accepted a professorship at the Academy of Fine Arts Nuremberg. He served as the president of the Academy in Nuremberg from 1984 to 1987. In 1983, he was elected as a full member of the Bavarian Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. He was also a member of the artists' group "Der Kreis."

Among his notable works are the busts of Albert Einstein and Karolina Gerhardinger, which he created for Walhalla in 1990 and 1998, respectively.

Uhlig lived and worked in Nürnberg, where he died in August 2022 at the age of 92.
