Hans Ladner was an Austrian sculptor who lived in Munich. He was born in Zams on August 23, 1930, and passed away on August 12, 2001, in Munich. Ladner studied sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich in the 1950s. He became a full professor of sculpture in 1975 after temporarily directing a sculpture class in 1968. He also served as vice president of the academy under Rudolf Seitz from 1982 to 1985 and under Wieland Schmied from 1988 to 1991.

Ladner was appointed emeritus in 1995 and became an honorary member of the Academy at the same time. He primarily created sculptures such as fountains, portrait busts, torsos, and sacred sculptures. Ladner was buried in the cemetery at the Winthirkirche in Munich, Neuhausen. He was married to the granddaughter of the Munich painter Ernst Liebermann.
